Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you” or “Customer”) and SHOWMYIP (“SHOWMYIP”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of the SHOWMYIP website, dashboard, and IP intelligence API (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

SHOWMYIP provides IP address intelligence — geolocation, network and ownership data, reputation signals, and an explainable risk score with a BLOCK / REVIEW / ALLOW verdict — delivered through a web interface and a developer API. The Service is informational. Scores and verdicts are probabilistic assessments derived from data of varying freshness and are provided to assist, not replace, your own judgment.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You must provide a valid email address and confirm it before your account is activated. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials and API keys confidential. Notify us promptly at support@showmyip.io if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to permit anyone to:

use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others;
exceed the rate limits or quotas of your plan, or circumvent any technical limit, authentication, or usage measurement;
share, resell, or redistribute raw Service data as a competing dataset or bulk feed without our written permission;
use the Service to harass, stalk, profile, or unlawfully discriminate against any individual;
probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or its related systems;
introduce malware, or interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

You are solely responsible for any automated decisions you make using the Service, including any decision to block, allow, or challenge a user.

4. API keys

API keys authenticate requests as you. Treat them like passwords. You are responsible for all usage and charges incurred under your keys until you revoke them. You may create and revoke keys from your dashboard subject to your plan’s limits.

5. Plans, billing & refunds

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method for the recurring fee until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change plan pricing or features on reasonable notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

6. Free plan

We offer a free tier with limited quota. We may modify, limit, or discontinue the free tier at any time. The free tier is provided “as is” without any commitment of availability.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, data compilation, scores, and branding, is owned by SHOWMYIP and protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service and to use the data returned to you within your own applications. We retain all rights not expressly granted.

8. Data accuracy disclaimer

IP intelligence is inherently imperfect. Networks, ownership, and reputation change over time, and any individual result may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. SHOWMYIP does not warrant that scores, verdicts, or any other data are accurate or fit for a particular purpose, and you should not rely on them as the sole basis for any decision with legal or significant effects on a person.

9. Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SHOWMYIP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users. On termination your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts there, except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
